Prices and what's included
How much is a porta potty rental in Odessa?
A standard porta potty for a one-day event starts at $199, and that includes delivery, setup and pickup inside Odessa city limits. A standard jobsite unit starts at $225 per 28-day cycle with weekly service included, plus a one-time delivery and pickup charge that starts at $75. Your exact price depends on your address, dates, unit type, servicing and quantity, so call (432) 239-8866 for an itemized quote.
What's the total out the door? That's all I care about.
Your quote lists the total before you pay: unit rental, delivery and pickup, any rush fee, service visits and sales tax. We do not add fuel surcharges or card "convenience" fees after you book. In our call review, surprise add-ons were the top reason callers pushed back on a price.
Does it cost less if I only need it for one day?
No. A one-day party and a full weekend cost the same. The event rate covers up to 7 days on site, so a Friday drop-off and Monday pickup are already included. Most of our cost is the truck trip, not the days the unit sits in your yard.
Is there a price difference between event units and construction units?
Yes. Event units are billed as one flat event rate (from $199) with no mid-rental servicing. Construction units are billed per 28-day cycle (from $225) with weekly pumping, cleaning and restocking. Event units are kept for events only, so they are the cleanest-looking units in our yard.
Is the delivery fee charged each way, or one time?
One time. The delivery charge covers both the drop-off and the pickup trip. For events inside Odessa city limits it is built into the event price. For jobsite rentals it starts at $75 inside Odessa. One trip fee covers every unit on the same order and address.
Is that price per unit, or for both of them?
Rental prices are per unit. The delivery charge is per trip, not per unit. So the second and third unit on the same order and address do not add another delivery charge.
Can you do better if I rent more than one?
Yes. Orders of 3 or more units on one address share one delivery trip, which lowers the cost per unit. Large events of 10 units or more get a volume quote. Ask the dispatcher for the multi-unit price when you call.
Is tax added to that, or is that the total?
Texas sales tax is added to rental charges and shown as its own line on your quote. Tax-exempt groups, such as churches, schools and government agencies, pay no tax once we have the exemption certificate on file.
Why do you need my address to give me a price?
Price depends on drive distance and site access. An address inside Odessa gets the base price. Addresses in Midland and the outer towns add a distance charge. A dispatcher can still give you a ballpark with just your ZIP code.
Someone else quoted me less. Can you match it?
Send us the other written quote and we will look at it line by line. Many low quotes leave out pickup, servicing, fuel charges or card fees. If the other quote is complete and lower, we will tell you on the call whether we can match it.
Do you charge more to deliver to Midland?
A small distance charge applies to Midland addresses. It starts at $25 on top of the Odessa price. Midland is about 20 miles east on I-20, so most Midland orders still qualify for same-day delivery when you call by noon.
How much is a hand-wash station?
A 2-station hand-wash sink starts at $125 for an event and $150 per 28-day cycle on a jobsite. Refilling water, soap and paper towels is part of each service visit.
Is it an upcharge to switch to a wheelchair-accessible unit?
Yes, a small one. A wheelchair-accessible unit starts at $295 for an event and $295 per 28-day cycle on a jobsite. The unit is wider and heavier, so it takes more room on the truck.
What's the price difference between the standard and the flushing unit?
A deluxe flushing unit with a sink inside starts at $325 for an event. That is about $125 more than a standard unit. Guests get a foot-pump flush and a sink in the same stall.
How much are those restroom trailers?
A 2-stall restroom trailer starts at $1,750 per event and a 4-stall starts at $2,950. Delivery, setup, stocking and pickup are included. Trailers need a water hookup and a standard power outlet, or we quote a generator and water tank.
What would same-day delivery cost?
Same-day delivery in Odessa and Midland adds a rush fee that starts at $95, when you call by noon Monday through Saturday. Next-day delivery has no rush fee if a truck slot is open.
How much is an extra cleaning visit?
An extra service visit starts at $85 per visit for one unit at the same address. Each extra unit on the same visit costs less. Extra visits are common during summer heat, big crews or multi-day events.
How much would the second month be?
The second 28-day cycle is the rental rate only. Delivery and pickup were already paid on the first invoice. So month two is cheaper than month one.
Delivery timing and same-day service
Can you deliver a porta potty today?
Yes, in most cases. Same-day delivery is available in Odessa and Midland when you call (432) 239-8866 by 12:00 PM (noon), Monday through Saturday, and a truck is open. About 1 in 4 callers in our call review wanted a unit today or tomorrow, so we keep same-day slots open every morning.
Our water is shut off at the building. How fast can you get units out?
Call (432) 239-8866 right away and say it is a water outage. Same-day emergency delivery in Odessa and Midland is often possible within a few hours when you call by noon. Tell us the headcount so we can bring enough units and a hand-wash station.
Do you have any available for this weekend?
Usually, yes, if you call by Thursday. Weekend event units are delivered on Friday and picked up on Monday at no extra charge. Friday slots fill first in spring, graduation season and during the Permian Basin Fair, so book early.
Can you deliver on the day of the event instead of the day before?
We deliver the day before your event by default, and that costs nothing extra. Day-before delivery means your unit is set and checked even if a truck runs late on event day. If you need an event-day morning drop, ask for it. A timed delivery fee may apply.
How soon do I need to book so it's there on time?
For jobsites in Odessa or Midland, calling the day before is enough. For weekend events, call by Thursday. For weddings, festivals and restroom trailers, book 2 to 4 weeks ahead. For towns more than 60 miles away, allow 2 to 3 days.
What time will the driver come?
Drivers run from 7 AM to 7 PM. We give you a delivery window when we confirm your order, and the driver calls or texts about 30 minutes before arriving. If you need a tighter window, such as before a crew starts, ask when you book.
Do I have to be there when you deliver?
No. You do not need to be home if the spot is clear and the driver can reach it. Mark the spot with a cone, flag or chalk, or text us a photo. If a gate is locked, give us the code or leave it unlatched.
Do you deliver on Saturday?
Yes. Our phones and trucks run Monday through Saturday, 7 AM to 7 PM. Saturday same-day delivery is available when you call by noon and a truck is open. We do not deliver or pick up on Sunday.
Where we deliver
Do you deliver to my area?
We deliver across Odessa, West Odessa, Gardendale, Goldsmith and Midland every day. Andrews, Monahans, Kermit, Crane, Stanton and Big Spring are on regular routes. Pecos, Lamesa, Hobbs and towns farther out are served on scheduled route days. Use the ZIP checker on this page or call (432) 239-8866.
Am I talking to a local company or a call center?
You are talking to Zachary Rental Works in Odessa. Our yard and office are at 502 E 2nd St, Odessa, TX 79761. The person who answers can see our trucks and units, so you get a real yes or no on the call.
Who is the actual company that will pull into my driveway?
Our own truck and driver from Zachary Rental Works. We do not broker your order to another company. The same team delivers, services and picks up your units.
Do you deliver as far as Lubbock, San Angelo or Abilene?
Yes, on scheduled route days and for jobs worth the drive, such as multi-unit or long-term rentals. Those towns are 130 to 260 miles away, so plan 2 to 3 days ahead and expect a distance charge. Same-day delivery is not offered there.
Pickup and rental length
When would you come pick it up?
Event units are picked up the next business day after your event. A Saturday event is picked up on Monday. Jobsite units stay until you call for pickup. We pick up within 1 to 2 business days of your call.
Do I have to call for pickup, or will you just come get it?
Event pickups are scheduled when you book, so you do not need to call. Jobsite and long-term units are not picked up automatically. Call (432) 239-8866 when the job is done. Billing stops at the end of the 28-day cycle in which you call.
What happens if I need it past 28 days?
The rental rolls into a new 28-day cycle and the card on file is charged for that cycle. Weekly service continues. A month and a week counts as two cycles, so call before the next cycle starts if the job is ending.
Is it prorated if I only need it for 10 days?
No. Jobsite billing is a flat 28-day cycle and is not prorated. For a personal project of 7 days or less, ask about the short-term rate instead. It is often cheaper than a full cycle.
Can you pick it up the next morning? We check out at 11.
Yes, if you ask when you book. We can put an early pickup on the route for rentals, short-term stays and public spaces where a unit cannot sit all day. A timed pickup fee may apply.
Cleaning and supplies
How often do you clean it?
Jobsite units get one service visit each week. Each visit includes pumping the tank, scrubbing and sanitizing the seat, walls and urinal, and restocking paper and hand sanitizer. Event units arrive clean and stocked, and short events do not need a visit.
Would we need it cleaned more than once a week?
Yes, if one unit serves more than 10 workers on a 40-hour week. Add a second weekly visit or a second unit. Odessa summers average 94°F highs in July, and heat speeds up odor, so busy summer sites often add a visit.
Do I have to clean it before you pick it up?
No. Just close the lid and the door. Please do not put trash, food, diapers or gasoline in the tank. Those items can cause a cleanup charge.
Does it come with toilet paper and everything?
Yes. Every unit arrives with toilet paper and a hand sanitizer dispenser. Units with sinks also get soap and paper towels. Jobsite units are restocked at each weekly service visit.
Choosing a unit
Which unit do I need?
Most backyard parties and jobsites need a standard unit. Pick a deluxe flushing unit or restroom trailer for weddings and dressy events. Add a wheelchair-accessible unit for guests who use a wheelchair or walker. Add a hand-wash station when food is served. Our comparison table lists the trade-offs.
Do your porta potties have sinks in them?
Standard units have a hand sanitizer dispenser but no sink. Deluxe flushing units have a foot-pump sink inside. For a group, a separate 2-station or 4-station hand-wash sink is often the better buy because guests do not wait inside the stall to wash.
I have a family member in a wheelchair. Can she use a standard unit?
No. A standard unit door is only about 24 inches wide. Rent a wheelchair-accessible unit. It has a ground-level floor, a wide door, grab rails and room for a 60-inch turning circle.
Do you have one that's a little bigger, with room to change?
Yes. The wheelchair-accessible unit has more than 16 square feet of floor space, so it works well as a roomy changing stall at pool parties and parent-friendly events.
Does it come with a lock? It'll be out in public.
Yes. We can add a lock hasp at no charge. You supply the padlock and give the code or key to your crew. Tell us at booking so the driver installs it.
Does the flushing unit need my water? I'm on a well.
No. Our deluxe flushing unit has its own fresh-water tank that feeds the foot-pump flush and sink, so it never touches your well or septic. Restroom trailers are different. Trailers need a hose hookup or a water tank we supply.
What hookups does a restroom trailer need?
A 2-stall restroom trailer needs a standard 110-volt outdoor outlet on its own circuit and a garden-hose water connection within about 50 feet. No hookups on site? We can quote a generator and fresh-water tank.
Can a unit be lifted onto a roof or upper floor?
Yes. We can supply a high-rise unit with a lifting hook for crane picks on commercial projects. Your crane operator does the lift. Book a few days ahead so we can stage the right unit.
How many units
How many porta potties do I need for 100 guests?
For a 100-guest party of up to 4 hours, plan 2 standard units. If alcohol is served, add 1 unit, so 3 in total. Add a hand-wash station when food is served. Our calculator shows each step of the math.
What would you recommend for a large event of about 1,000 people?
For 1,000 guests over 4 hours, plan 20 standard units, plus 5 more if alcohol is served. At least 2 of those units should be wheelchair-accessible to meet the 5% rule for public events. Add 13 hand-wash stations if food is served.
How many porta potties does my crew need?
OSHA requires at least 1 toilet for 20 or fewer workers. Over 20 workers, the rule is 1 toilet seat and 1 urinal per 40 workers. We recommend 1 unit per 10 workers with weekly service, so tanks and paper last the full week.
Placement and site access
Are there any rules about where it has to be placed?
Pick a flat, firm spot, such as gravel, packed dirt, concrete or short grass. Our service truck must park within about 50 feet. Keep the spot clear of power lines, sprinkler heads and parked cars. Units placed in a street or sidewalk may need a City of Odessa right-of-way permit.
Will it fit through my side gate?
A standard unit is 43.5 inches wide, so your gate needs at least a 48-inch clear opening plus room for two crew members. A wheelchair-accessible unit is 62 inches wide and usually goes through a driveway, not a side gate.
Can you place it on grass? I'm not sure the ground is stable.
Yes. Flat, dry grass is fine for a short event. On a slope, soft dirt or loose sand, we level the unit or move it to firmer ground. We do not cover damage to sprinkler lines we were not told about, so flag them before delivery.
Will the wind knock it over?
We stake or strap units at windy sites and open lots. West Texas gusts can top 60 mph during spring storms. Place units next to a fence or building when you can, with the door facing away from the wind.
Can it go in the street in front of my house?
Only with a permit. A unit placed in a city street or sidewalk in Odessa needs a right-of-way or street-use permit from City of Odessa Public Works. A driveway or yard placement needs no permit.
How will the driver find the spot? GPS always sends people to my neighbor.
Tell us when you book and we will add a note to the order. You can also text a pin drop or photo of the exact spot. For ranches, lease roads and pad sites, GPS coordinates work best.
Payment, cancellation and damage
How do I pay? Do I pay today or closer to the event?
We take Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and ACH. A card holds your date when you book, and we send an itemized invoice by text or email for e-signature. Drivers do not collect payment.
Can I pay the driver cash when it's dropped off?
No. Drivers do not take payment. You can pay by card or ACH. Businesses with approved credit can pay on net-30 terms by check or ACH.
Can you direct-bill us? We're a business or government agency.
Yes. Businesses and agencies can apply for net-30 billing. Approval usually takes 1 to 2 business days. Government and tax-exempt buyers should send a tax-exemption certificate with the order.
Is there a cancellation policy?
Yes. Cancel 24 hours or more before your scheduled delivery for a full refund. Inside 24 hours, a $75 trip fee applies. Once a same-day truck has left the yard, the trip fee applies. Moving your date with 48 hours' notice is free.
Do I put down a deposit?
No separate deposit. Your card is charged for the rental when you book, and the invoice shows every line. You are responsible for damage beyond normal use, such as fire, vandalism or tipping.
What if the unit gets damaged or tipped over?
Tell us right away. Normal wear is on us. Damage from fire, vandalism, vehicles, graffiti or a tipped unit is billed at repair or replacement cost. Theft is billed at replacement cost. Placing units away from traffic and staking them prevents most problems.
Can you email me the quote so my boss can look at it?
Yes. We text or email a written, itemized quote while you are on the phone. Many contractors and offices need two quotes on file, so ask for the quote to be addressed to your company.
