How many porta potties does a construction site need?

A construction site needs at least 1 toilet for 20 or fewer workers under OSHA 29 CFR 1926.51(c) Table D-1. With 20 or more workers, it needs 1 toilet seat and 1 urinal per 40 workers. With 200 or more, it needs 1 seat and 1 urinal per 50 workers. We recommend 1 unit per 10 workers.

What does weekly jobsite service include?

Weekly jobsite service includes pumping the tank, scrubbing and sanitizing the interior, adding fresh deodorizer, restocking toilet paper and hand sanitizer, and refilling any sink. Each visit is logged with a time stamp, so a superintendent can show the service record to an inspector.

  1. PumpThe service tech vacuums the holding tank empty from the truck.
  2. Scrub and sanitizeSeat, walls, door handle and urinal are scrubbed and sprayed with disinfectant.
  3. RechargeFresh blue deodorizer and water go into the tank to control odor in the heat.
  4. RestockToilet paper and hand sanitizer are refilled. Sinks get fresh water, soap and towels.
  5. CheckThe tech checks the door latch, vents and level, then logs the visit with a time stamp.

How does 28-day jobsite billing work?

Jobsite billing runs in 28-day cycles, not calendar months. The first invoice covers the first cycle plus one-time delivery and pickup. Each later cycle is the rental rate only, charged to the card or account on file. Billing stops after the cycle in which you call for pickup.

What jobsite setups do Odessa builders ask for?

Odessa builders ask for four setups most: single units for home builders in new subdivisions, unit-and-sink pairs for commercial pours, crane-liftable units for roofing and steel work, and towable trailers that move with road and pipeline crews.

Where should a jobsite porta potty go?

Put a jobsite porta potty on level ground near the work, away from traffic and equipment swing paths, and within about 50 feet of a spot our service truck can reach. On new-home lots, the curb line near the driveway works well. Units in a street need a City of Odessa right-of-way permit.

Questions renters ask before they book

Our dispatchers hear these 8 questions often, including “How many porta potties does my crew need?” and “Is there a price difference between event units and construction units?” The answers are written the way we explain them on calls. Starting prices appear only here, and your itemized quote confirms the exact total.

How many porta potties does my crew need?

OSHA requires at least 1 toilet for 20 or fewer workers. Over 20 workers, the rule is 1 toilet seat and 1 urinal per 40 workers. We recommend 1 unit per 10 workers with weekly service, so tanks and paper last the full week.

Is there a price difference between event units and construction units?

Yes. Event units are billed as one flat event rate (from $199) with no mid-rental servicing. Construction units are billed per 28-day cycle (from $225) with weekly pumping, cleaning and restocking. Event units are kept for events only, so they are the cleanest-looking units in our yard.

What happens if I need it past 28 days?

The rental rolls into a new 28-day cycle and the card on file is charged for that cycle. Weekly service continues. A month and a week counts as two cycles, so call before the next cycle starts if the job is ending.

Is it prorated if I only need it for 10 days?

No. Jobsite billing is a flat 28-day cycle and is not prorated. For a personal project of 7 days or less, ask about the short-term rate instead. It is often cheaper than a full cycle.

Do I have to call for pickup, or will you just come get it?

Event pickups are scheduled when you book, so you do not need to call. Jobsite and long-term units are not picked up automatically. Call (432) 239-8866 when the job is done. Billing stops at the end of the 28-day cycle in which you call.

Can a unit be lifted onto a roof or upper floor?

Yes. We can supply a high-rise unit with a lifting hook for crane picks on commercial projects. Your crane operator does the lift. Book a few days ahead so we can stage the right unit.

Can you direct-bill us? We're a business or government agency.

Yes. Businesses and agencies can apply for net-30 billing. Approval usually takes 1 to 2 business days. Government and tax-exempt buyers should send a tax-exemption certificate with the order.

Can you email me the quote so my boss can look at it?

Yes. We text or email a written, itemized quote while you are on the phone. Many contractors and offices need two quotes on file, so ask for the quote to be addressed to your company.
